People all over the world were inspired by Barack Obama’s win. Not only is he a symbol of our desires for change, he also represents the efforts of millions of people who want to live better lives.
The idea of caring for others and being of service has become a focus in government again because it has become a focus in our own hearts. We want change, we want peace, and we want to go beyond the fear and war that seems to be so pervasive in our culture.
President Obama’s campaign for change is what catalyzed us, but we are the ones carrying this torch. Together we have chosen to take a necessary step forward in our development as human beings.
About the Project
VTEC has a four-year timeline and two different facets. The first is the development of a dynamic, on-line record of instances of human evolution as they relate to the Era of Change. In this case, human evolution means expressions of these five topics:
Acceptance, Forgiveness, Gratitude, Unconditional Love, Activation
These five topics will link to video. For example, Unconditional Love will link to a selection of short interviews of people sharing their experiences and feelings about ending war and violence and being more responsible global citizens.
After four years, I will have an archive of testimonies of people from all over the country and abroad who have related their hopes and dreams during the Obama presidency. Part two of this project is a documentary film melding the Internet clips with my personal journey as an artist charting the emotional course of the people living in this special time.

We don't want to be stuck in old habits of fear and insecurity. This change is about us and about our dream for a better world. This is our show, our era of change.
